Heavy deposit layer – Calcium deposits
Plugging of the deaerator has the following effects on operation:

Poor flow characteristics throughout the bundle matrix

Loss of vacuum
-
Overload of secondary ejector exchangers
-
Poor removal of non-condensable gasses
-
Accelerated corrosion due to poor non-condensable removal
-
Provide inadequate boiler feed pump suction head
-
Disrupt flow charactistics throughout the condenser
