Plugging of the deaerator has the following effects on operation:
  • Poor flow characteristics throughout the bundle matrix

  • Loss of vacuum

  • Overload of secondary ejector exchangers

  • Poor removal of non-condensable gasses

  • Accelerated corrosion due to poor non-condensable removal

  • Provide inadequate boiler feed pump suction head

  • Disrupt flow charactistics throughout the condenser
